As promised I will begin to post segments under the points (which all start with P)I introduced for the 10 minute segment. It was really great to meet many of you today in New York. I had to make sure I got my appreciation for spending time with you out before I continued.
Many of you might ask, "What will a blog do for me and my business. Well, if we go back to the PLAN point, that is a great question.
We need to know why we would spend the time (and if you are hosting a blog) the money.
Here are a few reasons I have read about.
1. It can contribute to establishing you as an expert in your field if you focus on one area.
2. Search engines like blogs and folks can find you.
3. You can always post fresh content so clients will look forward to seeing your perspective on issues.
4. It can create community and make you accessible and human.
5. Will give you an opportunity to RANT.
6. You can use it as a journal to record musings, book material, and STORIES.
7. You can use it to do "after the event" postings for continued discussions.
8. You can post pictures on it faster than you can on your web site.
9. You can write articles with built in affiliate links.
10.You can cover the events of a short term campaign or fund raiser.
11. You can provide a place for clients or customers to post questions about your service or products.
There is more but I think that is a start.
